GATE
Abstract
GATE is a tool for:
scientists performing experiments that involve processing human language;
companies developing applications with language processing components;
teachers and students of courses about language and language computation.
GATE comprises an architecture, framework (or SDK) and development environment, and has been in development since 1995 in the Sheffield NLP group. The system has been used for many language processing projects; in particular for Information Extraction in many languages. GATE is funded by the EPSRC and the EU.
